A person who is focused, is generally one who is successful.  When someone sets his or her sights on
moving up the ladder in business, by seriously concentrating and working with whatever tools they find at
their disposal, something positive can happen.  Usually a promotion results, because that person has been
proven capable of handling a higher level of responsibility.

An athlete who doesn't use the talent which is natural to him or her, won't get ahead.  It takes all out
commitment and a lot of physical discipline.  Whether a hobbyist, scientist, sports anchor, teacher, or
anything else, the goal is reached by focusing.  Many people are so focused, that when you meet them,
you know immediately what their focus is.  It's written all over them.  It's in every word they speak, every
movement of their body, every thought on their mind.

The word focus is a mantra of our times.  Whatever our lives have become, has been because of our focus.
But, there's also a negative side.  If you've been focusing on your problems, then they have become the
biggest issue in your life.  Negative input takes priority.  It happens subtly,
and then becomes dominant.

The good news is that Christians can control this.  Hebrews 12:2 says
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the
author and perfecter of our faith."
Now, there's a worthy focus.  Take a few moments by yourself.  Pick a
private place where it is quiet and undisturbed.  Talk with Jesus.  Imagine yourself sitting alone with Him, and
share with Him the story of your born-again experience.  Tell Him you love Him, and receive His love for you.

In just a few moments, your focus has just changed.  You are again centered on love.  Allow His love to
consume you.  Look to Him and not to your problems, for they are insignificant when compared with the
reward ahead.  Jesus is your joy and your comfort.  Always focus on Jesus.  He is your deliverer in all things.

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,
who was, and is, and is to come."
(Revelation 4:8)
